We are pleased to support Moldova's Financial Intelligence Unit together with the Pro Marshall Centre in the implementation of the Strengthening Anti-Money Laundering in Moldova Project, funded by the Government of Switzerland. Our contribution focuses on evaluating Moldova’s National Strategy on AML/CFT (2020–2025) and its Action Plan. In partnership, we will deliver an in-depth analysis of the Strategy’s implementation, effectiveness, and impact—strengthening the country’s overall anti-money laundering framework.

In February 2025 Step Forward team started consultancy services for Elaboration of the National Development Plan for the Water Supply and Sanitation Sector in Moldova, the Long-Term Investment Program and the Financing Strategy Infrastructure.

In September 2024 Step Forward started a collaboration with United Nations Development Programme in Moldova, providing support in drafting a project proposal for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A rapid needs assessment was conducted resulting in a concept note and further Project Document on Enhancing Cybersecurity and Crisis Management Infrastructure in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During May-September 2024, Step Forward was commissioned to assist the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Parliament) in understanding the extent to which it's research service functions as an effective research provider to the legislature. Step Forward developed the Assessment Methodology, focusing on the quality, relevance and efficiency of the research service and conducted interviews with Members of Parliament, parliamentary staff, and Parliamentary Research Service staff that inform the analysis.

During April-September 2024, Step Forward team offered support in assessing Moldova's parliamentary procedures, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and alignment with current legislation and EU negotiation requirements. Mapping power dynamics and assessing the roles and influence of key stakeholders (MPs, committees, parties, civil society) and their openness to reform. Recommending strategies to strengthen parliamentary practices and improve financial and managerial capacities of the parliamentary administration.
